Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey is an African-American author, but is most well-known as the ex-wife of comedian and host Steve Harvey. She decided to keep her private life secretive and out of the spotlight. While Steve hadn't even reached anywhere in the same level of success which he is enjoying now They were married for fourteen years. Rumours are circulating around Hollywood about the reasons for their breakup. Many believe that it was due to Steve Harvey's unfaithful ways however others attribute it as a result of his choice to pursue comedy as a career. The tragic story of her life can be attributed to Steve's denial of her as well as her daughters as she was pregnant with her third child. Despite her struggles she has managed to make a successful career in fashion design and also in writing. Marcia Harvey was raised in an African-American household and isn't wealthy. She began her career working at Saks Fifth Avenue, a department store. Steve met her at a reception party for a mutual friend a couple of years later. They got married and they were married in 1980. The couple had twins in 1982, and Steve worked as an insurance salesman. Steve was already disillusioned by his job and wanted to make a go of it as entertainer, particularly stand-up comedy. He and Marcia were unable to get together and later reports suggested that they'd been living apart since 1990. The majority of the fame of Marcia Harvey was due to her marriage and divorce to Steve Harvey. Although the divorce proceedings between them in 1994 were secret, it's clear that Marcia Harvey was pregnant with their third child when they split up. Marcia was finally able to file for divorce on the 23rd of March, 1993. Marcia was forced to seek the law following her divorce as well as Steve Harvey's rejection of the child support and alimony payment.
