Alison Doody
Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. After her first small part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985) She went on to play the Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte as Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was a model when she was approached. It turned out to be an extremely lucrative profession. Doody did not like glamour or nude work. This was a principle she carried over to her acting. Having come to the attention of the director who cast an upcoming James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was listed as one of 12 Promising New Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was still only 18 at the time of her appearance in the Bond character. As of today she's the newest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead character in the film Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking perhaps her most well-known role in her career in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody acted alongside Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. She later moved to Hollywood. The role she played was Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody made her acting comeback in 2003 with a minor performance as a character in her role in the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards ceremony. In 2004, she starred in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Then, she appeared on RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to be the star of a remake in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. In 2011 she began the first of two seasons on the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. The following year, she appeared as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was awarded to her on November 21, 2018. The actress also was given one of the stars at the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
